Monica Kurnatowska

Monica Kurnatowska is a solicitor with over 20 years’ experience. She trained as a nurse before switching to law, and now specialises in employment law with a particular interest in discrimination, harassment and equal pay. Her time in the NHS led to an interest in safeguarding and the law on sex and single-sex services. She also contributes to the lawyers’ collective Legal Feminist.

“As a lifelong feminist I reject sexist stereotypes. Being a woman is not a feeling nor is it about the way someone looks or behaves. Sex is a biological fact which impacts the lives of women and girls – in particular in the context of healthcare, safeguarding fairness and safety in sport.”
