We wrote to the HSE in February 2025 expressing concern about the lack of clear guidance on single-sex facilities for washing, changing and sanitation at work and to point out that, as the regulator, it is the responsibility of the HSE to provide this. The HSE replied in March 2025 with a clarification.

We have written again to let the HSE know that we have published its response, and to ask again for it to publish a statement that single-sex facilities at work require single-sex policies, based on the definition clarified by the Supreme Court.
