We wrote to the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI), the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, and the Special Rapporteurs on violence against women and girls and on freedom of religion or belief, together with 38 civil society organisations and groups, to raise our concern that GANHRI’s “special review” process has been misdirected by complainants as a means of imposing pressure on the Equality and Human Rights Commission.
