Cathy Pitt

City lawyer

Cathy Pitt is a corporate lawyer and non-executive director of two publicly traded companies. Over her 25-year career in the City, she has built expertise in corporate governance, boardroom risk, financial services regulation and critical analysis. She believes that sex matters in the boardroom and that boards need a clear understanding of the current law – and how failing to apply it correctly could pose risks to their businesses.

“Sex matters because women still face discrimination throughout their careers because of their sex. We need to be able to talk about the impact that our sex has on our career progression. Put simply, if we can’t talk about our sex, we cannot overcome sexism.”
