Charlotte Cadden
Trustee

Charlotte was a police officer for 30 years in the Greater Manchester Police, and retired as a Detective Chief Inspector in the Metropolitan Police Service, where she led the team that helps to keep MPs safe when they are away from Parliament. She also worked on the protocol that designed how policing now supports police and crime commissioners, elected mayors and local councillors, as many of them face increasing levels of harassment and intimidation due to the roles they hold in public life. A passionate defender of freedom of expression, she is a member of the Women’s Rights Network and LGB Alliance. In 2023, she set up the national Police SEEN UK network with other colleagues, to support officers and staff who hold sex-realist beliefs, and to try to restore impartiality to policing.
Charlotte Cadden has been selected as Conservative candidate for Bromley Cross, Bolton, Greater Manchester, in the local elections on 7th May 2026.
