Send a school our model policy based on new statutory safeguarding rules
Write to a school you know about this important update to statutory guidance.

The updated statutory safeguarding guidance Keeping children safe in education, which comes into force this September, contains important new requirements for schools in England to accurately record, recognise and act upon every child’s sex in school records, single-sex spaces and sports.
Over the summer and during the autumn term schools will be updating their policies and training in line with the new KCSIE guidance. Sex Matters has updated our model whole-school policy on sex-based rules to help them.
Use our tool to send the model policy to a school that you have a connection with – as a parent, previous parent, teacher or governor.
You will need to have a name and email address of the person to send the policy to (such as the head teacher). Use our template letter to explain your connection to the school.
